Colorado Tile Murals

Our 4th graders learn the history and legends of Colorado. They perform a great little program in Music, square dance in PE and this year in Art we are designing tile murals. Mrs. Rogers class selected the Gold rush and mining towns. Mrs. Lozanos class selected the Pikes Peak area. And Mrs. Zyla’s class researched the threatened and endangered animals that live in Colorado. I have 5 tables of 6 students and they worked together to come up with the compositions, that were later filled with their drawings. Each student drew a Colorado animal, train, or bird. These will become or border around the group tile mural. Hopefully we will be unveiling their creations before Spring break.
